πŸ“„ Summary

Notice is hereby given that the Midwest Biodiversity Institute (MBI) has applied in due form for a permit modification pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (ESA). The permit application is for the incidental take of ESA-listed shortnose sturgeon (Acipenser brevirostrum), Atlantic sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus oxyrinchus) from the Gulf of Maine (GOM) and New York Bight (NYB) Distinct Population Segments (DPSs), and Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) from the GOM DPS associated with the otherwise lawful sampling of non-ESA listed fish in the Lower Kennebec, Middle Kennebec, and Sebasticook Rivers in Maine. NMFS is furnishing this notice in order to allow other agencies and the public an opportunity to review and comment on the application materials. All comments received will become part of the public record and will be available for review.
