In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 12114, the DoN announces its decision to conduct training and testing activities within the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System Low-Frequency Active (SURTASS LFA) Sonar Training and Testing Study Area in the Western North Pacific and Indian Oceans, as described in Alternative 1 of the SURTASS LFA Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS/OEIS).
